Eight Week Meditation Course - “Using The Buddhist Eightfold Path In Changing Times”

As we emerge at last from the pandemic, we face a host of what appear to be challenges to our material health and well-being. we can turn these external challenges into opportunities to recognize the deeper ground of silence beneath all the noise, the ongoing peace in the midst of the turmoil, the mysterious and life-sustaining order behind the apparent chaos.

This 8-week course contains information, exercises, and meditations to help you quiet the mind, dis-identify with it, and move into the present moment where you can experience your true nature, which is at peace with life and contains all the wisdom you need to create a happy and fulfilling life. The key to happiness is not getting something from outside ourselves or even improving ourselves, but by connecting with our own source of wisdom, happiness, peace, and contentment. We are all masterful and joyful beings. This course will help you discover the true source of happiness and leave behind limiting thoughts and beliefs and the painful emotions they create.
Students will learn about:
The deeper meaning behind the eightfold path teachings
Structuring your meditation practice
Dealing with daily distractions
Heal and live happily Now! regardless of world events
How to use the Eightfold path in everyday life
Practicing mindfulness of mind, emotions, and body
How to use meditation in correlation with the eightfold path
And much more.
These teachings reveal what it is to befriend the mind, taking the student all the way from basic mindfulness meditation to profound states of freedom and joy.
Shane Wilson the course facilitator is a Buddhist minister, he has studied meditation throughout the world with many gifted teachers including Bhante Gunaratana. He regularly teaches at the Arizona International Buddhist Meditation Center as well as facilitating meditation sits, workshops and talks he is founder of 'The Meditation Learning Center'.
