Welcome to a new musical journey where labels fade and exploration takes center stage. While some may reference jazz or electronic influences, my sound is evolving towards a unique blend of post and ambient rock, infused with melodic twists. This music born from a heartfelt desire to explore and connect, inviting listeners to experience something truly special Join me as I redefine the boundaries of sound and creativity.

 

After taking a five year break from creating and from being in the music business altogether, in 2020 I decided to play again but this time without the traditional frame work that seems to box a musician into creating in such a way that they sound like the musicians they have been listening to or maybe even struggling to sound like. I jumped back into play music deciding that what ever sound that wanted to come out of my instrument, would be fine, my instrument so happened to be the guitar, I didn’t necessarily want to make guitar music, I just wanted to make music or sound, that told the story of what was happening at the time. Not only a story based in reality but also one based in fantasy.

 

Music without borders is a phrase that comes to mind. Making music without the idea that this is what I should create and play because it is what people expect from me or that it is what people want these days!

 

Staying away from the norm because predictability in any art form is a recipe for boredom and in todays world that means channel changing both figuratively and litterly. For an artist to create and play from emotion alone is a recipe for Intrest and exploration both for the artist and for the listener.

 

Music that moves you Physically and or mentally

 

To play and write music that you your self wants to hear (with some respect to the other listeners) is what I believe should be the only guide line. With respect toward comfort and communication with the listeners. Comfortable volume, tuning, and tone should be of primary concerns. Keeping the volume at a acceptable level, keeping the instruments in tune, and making the tone, the over all sound as pleasing as possible.

 

Using The Silent concert venue allows the listener to adjust the volume to assure themselves through the use of radio signal headphones. Headphones, of course allow all of the other dynamic advantages that using headphones brings because of the directness of sound directly to the ear avoiding acoustic interference. Tuning and tone come with experience and familiarity with the instrument. Looking and listening beyond one’s technical ability to play fast and or furious is apart of the musician’s ability to keeping the ears open and listening to keep the instrument in tune and to make the tone as pleasing as possible.

 

One’s personal sound is the most important thing in the area of individual musicianship. It is what determines a mature musician from an immature one. Listen to the well developed pros and you will hear individual voices, personal sound.

 

Tunings, strings, fingers,

 

upon retuning to music I did not want to play in the same manner that I had in the past. In order to literally make my self change and refrained from picking up any old bad habits and to stay away from memorized patterns that have been learned over the years is not an easy thing do do for a musician that uses improvisation as a tool in there music, to remedy this I decided to do three things to virtually make it impossible for the hands and ears to do return to memorized patters, these are to change tuning of the instrument. Change the instruments sound projection, this being the strings and type of guitar. How the right hand was playing the instrument.
